Friendly's gives each kid a free meal on her/his birthday, so we decided to go there after work on Monday. Ellie had a grilled cheese sandwich and some broccoli, but she was most excited about the ice cream! In fact, when we showed her the kids' menu and asked if she wanted mac & cheese or grilled cheese, Ellie pointed to the ice cream sundae and said, "This one!"
Here she is with her very first ice cream sundae--Friendly's calls it a Cone Head. Ellie opted for vanilla ice cream, rather than chocolate.
Here's one of her first bites of the ice cream. She especially loved the ice cream cone...she called it a "pinecone" and used it to scoop up ice cream from her dish.
Ellie and I enjoy our ice cream...mine's forbidden chocolate ice cream with peanut butter sauce!
